#GuestBites - WHERE TO EAT IN BARCELONA

Discover our best places for eating and having some drinks in this great city. The guide about where to it in BARCELONA is here.

Let's go by neighborhoods:

BARCELONETA

For pizza lovers: LES DUES SICILIES. Amazing and at a very good price. It is only for takeaway.

If you like sweets or want to eat a sandwich: LA ROSETA, on Carrer de Meer. All delicious and made with a lot of love. The banana pudding is the best. And the sandwiches are delicious too. We recommend the one with avocado, mozzarella, tomato and olive.

For hamburgers, nachos, salads, and eating outdoors with a relaxed atmosphere and facing the sea: SURF HOUSE. They also have activities such as: surfing, yoga, beach cleanings, etc. They do many happy hours, you can go during the day or at night to have a few drinks. Also, it is very good for brunch (in fact, if you go before 12 noon, the menu is for brunch, so if you want to have lunch, wait until just after 12pm for them to give you the lunch menu).

Poke bowl lovers, be sure to go to KAYMANA. Right next to the Surf House, also facing the street that runs along the sea. They have other options such as: wraps, salads, nachos, hamburgers…

More burgers and fast food: MAKA MAKA. But we recommend it especially for burgers because they have a LOT of original varieties. In addition to beers of all kinds.

For "tapas" there are many, but one of our chosen ones in the area to stay for a drink: OLIVER.

A tapa is an appetizer or snack in Spanish cuisine. Tapas can be combined to make a full meal, and can be cold (such as mixed olives and cheese) or hot (such as chopitos, which are battered, fried baby squid, or patatas bravas, among other options).

A cool bar: PARADISO.

OLYMPIC VILLAGE (next to Barceloneta)

You have the best paella in: LA BARCA DEL SALAMANCA. It is a must. They also have a smaller one in Barceloneta. We recommend going to the one here at Villa Olímpica, bigger and nicer.

And other option for good paella: MARINA BAY.

POBLE NOU

LITTLE FERN, for a good café, breakfast and/or brunch.

BORN

For "tapas": CASA DELFÍN.

To have a drink with Latin music: EL COPETÍN. Very good customer service, good music... it's run by Argentines!

To dance: SAVAGE.

GOTHIC QUARTER

For tapas: LA LUNA, BUBÓ or ROSEWOOD. The latter, it is located on the Rambla and you can taste everything from croquettes, fried aubergines with cheese and honey, bravas potatoes, eggs with ham and much more.

Another destination to enjoy squid, squid rings, prawns, prawn skewers and other delicacies: LA FLAUTA. There is usually a delay, but it is worth the wait. Good price/quality ratio, very good attention.

Ice cream lovers, stop by TOPPING CIRCUS. Ice creams of all kinds you can imagine and with very original shapes...

For breakfast: MILK.

L’ EIXAMPLE

For "tapas": LA CATALANA, or the classic of the classics… EL NACIONAL.

Also nearby you will find: CIUDAD CONDAL, another classic for this type of Spanish food.

Another less traditional option: CHALITO, located on the Rambla. You can eat "tapas" and Argentine food. Also, it's good to stay for a drink.

Or: TALLER DE TAPAS.

If you go through Passeig de Gràcia and its surroundings you will find a lot of options.

A really good option is Boca Chica and then cross over to have a drink at Boca Grande, which is next door. #GuestTravelTips: In the bathroom of Boca Chica there is a DJ booth and sometimes they have parties, you can check the itinerary on their website.

Another street with a lot of gastronomic varieties is Carrer D' Enric Granados. Here we recommend EMPANAR! Very good "empanadas" and many sweet options for tea time.

In a parallel street you will find one of the top places: LA PAPA. They do not accept reservations and there is usually a long line. A must: The avocado toast.

For delicious sandwiches, salads, natural juices and good coffee: RODRIGUEZ. In a very nice corner, where the sun always shines. It's not very cheap, but you can eat a delicious brunch!

For brunch and tea time you also have: BRUNCH & CAKE, there is a place in front of the Sagrada Familia and many others in different locations.

Another alternative for healthy food and veggie options: GRANJA PETIT BO. They have many stores in different neighborhoods. Chosen dishes: Hummus and shrimp tacos!

For lunch: FLAX & KALE, naturist and exotic.

For good pizzas: PARKING PIZZA (it is best to go at night). The same place has another restaurant called PARKING PITA for healthy options. They are located one block from Plaza Tetuan.

Burgers: VICIO! There are many stores around the city.

Traveling to a more Uruguayan menu: chivitos en FOC I OLI. We assure you that they compete with the best in their country of origin. It is a very small restaurant, attended by its owners, which was ranked #1 on Tripadvisor. The menu is limited; you find chivitos and hamburgers more than anything.

In the area, you have DISFRUTAR, which was chosen as the best restaurant of 2023 by "The World 50 Best" guide.

Another good option with many delicious and original dishes: SAONA, on c/ d'Aribau street. A gastronomic proposal inspired by absolute respect for the raw material.

Nearby, you can find BAR TORPEDO. Small, green-walled locale offering Spanish tapas, burgers, sandwiches & a variety of natural wines.

BAR TOMAS: Classic locale specializing in traditional fried potatoes with spicy sauce, plus tapas & draft beer.

Other bar: DELHIRAS.

Another recommendation for Tapas: TAPAS 2254.

Some more local places in the area: EL MERCADER DE L'EIXAMPLE and TELEFÈRIC.

A little further up: BAR MARCEL, BAMBAROL and SANBERMUT.

EL RAVAL

For burgers and wraps: KINO. Also delicious salads, tapas and beers.

A classic bar: London Bar, where Miró, Picasso and Hemingway used to go. It is a tavern-type bar.

To delight yourself with 360º views of the city (specifically of places like Montjüic, the port, L'Eixample and others): HIGH TIDE.

For breakfast: TROPIC.

POBLE NOU

Great burgers at: SMASH BURGER HOUSE.

MONTJUIC

LA FONT DEL GAT, in height with a cute balcony and delicious food!
