Let's go with an express guide to the best bars, rooftops and restaurants in Los Angeles:



RESTAURANTS



-If you like sushi: KATSUYA (there are several places, you can find one inside the Americana mall in Glendale) and BLUE RIBBON (inside The Grove, the other open-air mall in the Fairfax area).


Other option: SUSHI PARK or SHU SUSHI.


Although the BEST sushi place is SUGARFISH.


You can also try Japanese BBQ at YAZAWA, in Beverly Hills.


- Vegan: CROSSROADS. It's amazing, WHETHER YOU ARE VEGAN OR NOT. Highly recommended!



-CA DEL SOLE: the target is +55. You eat very good pasta! The butternut squash ravioli are amazing, the dish is called: Mezzelune di zucca barucca.


-CRAIG'S: They offer different options; pizzas, salads, pasta, meat/fish and veggie options.


-CAFÉ ROMA: In Beverly Hills. It has tables outside. You can eat very well both for lunch and dinner. It has a bar if you want to have some drinks. The ceasar salad with prawns is the best.



-TASTE L.A: Another Italian, very tasty! The carbonara pasta is amazing.



-CHURCH KEY: You can eat everything. Ask for the popcorn in vinegar to snack on! Once you pop, you can't stop. It also has a bar for drinks.



-EDEN ON BRAND: In Glendale neighborhood, on Brand Street. Open all day. Very cool to have a drink, it has a huge bar on the ground floor and they also serve drinks on the rooftop. There is usually a DJ upstairs too. Everything is very good! It's not the cheapest, but it's worth it.



-BAR MARMONT: For a more formal or elegant meal, it is located inside the Chateau Marmont on Sunset Strip Av.



-THE IVY: It is a little house that several celebrities usually choose. Very good!



-HUDSON: American style, the specialty are the barbecue ribs!



-SHAKE SHACK: The best hamburgers in the world! There are several franchises, you can find one in Glendale in front of the Americana mall. (#GuestTravelTips: They have delivery and takeaway, you can order through the app to avoid the line.)



-PINCHES TACOS: On Sunset Blvd. Little Mexican, super informal. You eat spectacular and they attention is very good! (#GuestTravelTips: it's next to The Den bar. You can eat and go to the bar or if it's after 10 p.m., since the bar closes the kitchen, they let you buy food at Pinches and bring it into the bar).


-TOCAYA: Another Mexican with healthy options.


-BARNEY'S BEANERY: Sports bar & grill. Westwood neighborhood on Broxton Ave. If you want something more relaxed like hamburgers, Mexican, wraps, etc. You eat American style food. Being in the university neighborhood (Westwood) it is full of young people, very cool to have a drink. There are many more restaurants and bars in this area.



-STANDARD ROOFTOP BAR: To eat, have a drink and dance, having a great view of the city from above. It is very nice to go in the afternoon and stay, so you get to see the sunset.



BARS/ROOFTOPS:


-Go ti the SUNSET STRIP, it is full of discos, pubs and restaurants.



-THE DEN: on Sunset Blvd. Very nice, it has indoor and outdoor spaces. It is a different concept because on the street you see the upper part of the bar and you go down the stairs and the bar is below. You eat American style food. It closes 2am. The kitchen closes at 10pm sharp.



-BARNEY'S BEANERY: Sports bar & grill. Westwood neighborhood on Broxton Ave. You eat American food. Being in the university neighborhood (just around the corner from UCLA) it is full of young people, very cool to have a drink. Many bars and restaurants around. Closes 1am.



-NICS: In Beverly Hills. It closes at 2am, you can eat and they play some music to dance while you're having a drink.



-STANDARD ROOFTOP BAR: To eat, have a drink and dance, watching the city. It is very nice to go in the afternoon and stay, so you get to see the sunset. It's downtown.



-PERCH L.A: Cool spot in downtown as well.



-EDEN ON BRAND: In the Glendale neighborhood, on Brand Street. Open all day. Very cool, it has a huge bar on the ground floor and they also serve drinks on the rooftop. There is usually a DJ upstairs also during the day and at night. All dishes are very tasty! It's not the cheapest, but it's worth it.



-MAMA SHELTER: The best rooftop in L.A. If you can get there to see the sunset, even better!



-ACE HOTEL: Another cool rooftop.



-ROOSEVELT HOLLYWOOD: It used to be one of the most distinctive hotels in Hollywood (Marilyn Monroe or other stars stayed here, she sang in the pool bar). It has several bars inside, there are usually DJs playing and parties at night and during the day as well.


#GuestTravelTips: Ask to go to the hidden bowling alley.



-FARMERS' MARKET: There are usually live shows behind the parking lot. A good local plan.


-For motorcycle lovers: CLUTCH inside The House of Machines.



NIGHTCLUBS:


- AVALON: With shows and live music. International DJs go there as well. It is a venue with several dance floors.



- ACADEMY NIGHTCLUB (ex Create): One of the best known in Hollywood. It has an external patio.



- VIPER ROOM: Also well known since at the time it belonged to Johnny Depp. It's on the Sunset Strip.



- FOXTAIL: In Beverly Hills.



PARTIES


There is an app where you sign up and go without knowing what party it is or who is playing, you only know the address. People put their house for each date so it is done in different places.



NO VACANCY: A must go hidden speakeasy that has a very cool bar inside and they make awesome parties.
