WYNWOOD is located in the Art District, and as its name states, it is a super cool artistic neighborhood, which originally was the settlement of the Puerto Rican community in Miami. Today it is the center of its avant-garde activity, museums and art galleries.
You can find interior design, fashion, accessories, restaurants…
It also has a great night life with many bars and nightclubs.
If you are looking for an open-air bar with Latin music, you must visit: GARDEN.
Must go: MISTER BLOCK CAFÉ. It is located inside a gallery, in the background. Make sure to try their Lemon Pineapple Frozen Lemonade!
Italian food lovers be sure to go to: SALUMERÍA. It is not a cheap restaurante, but not that expensive either. Food is amazing. More details in our #GuestBites MIAMI Restaurants guide.

Attention now ART lovers: The second Saturday of each month the streets of Wynwood have all their galleries open and the WYNWOOD ART WALK takes place. Its located on 40th Street. During the night you can visit art spaces for free, antique shops, food trucks, pubs, bars and much more.
Nonetheless, as we said, it is the art district, so every day you'll find private collectors display their collections for public access. Margulies Collection at the WAREHOUSE, for example, is a 4,200-square-meter converted warehouse. Like the rest of Wynwood's hidden gems, the interior consists of Martin Z Marguilies' extensive collection of contemporary and classic photography, video, sculpture and other pieces from the private repertoire.
Of course, the painted murals are also the soul of this neighborhood. You can get into WYNWOOD WALLS, an outdoor walk with selected murals. You also have an indoor place to eat something delicious.
You can also find the Rubell Family Collection and Contemporary Arts Foundation, in a building that was once used to house confiscated assets of the DEA (Drug Enforcement Administration). The collection includes works by Jean-Michel Basquiat, Keith Haring, Damien Hirst, Andy Warhol, and others.
Other galleries to highlight: Cisneros Fontanals Art Foundation (below Wynwood), Gallery Diet, Butter Gallery and Gregg Sheinbaum.
Finally, Robert Fontaine Gallery is a pop and avant-garde museum, exhibiting contemporary art from the 1960s to the present day. The gallery offers a platform for conceptual pieces, urban interventionist street art, and digital media, along with works by the masters of American Pop Art.
Now it is the turn of FASHION. If you are a sunglasses fan, be sure to go to ILLESTEVA. The glasses are around 170usd and 190usd. They are VERY cool and original, you can buy the ones on display or ask to make them custom by choosing the body, glass color and make sure you have a unique design.
For clothes you have lots of options, it is full of stores including those of the top brands and independent designers. You need to know that the prices are high!
On the main street of the design district (NE 39th St) you will find the best fashion brands and especially jewelry stores: Cartier, Tiffany, Louis Vuitton, Dior, Armani, Hermès, etc.
Another establishment to see is the MOORE BUILDING: It is located in the heart of the neighborhood. This historic venue was built in 1921 and served as a furniture showroom for Moore and Sons. The exclusive building has four floors and a central atrium. The strong point is precisely in the atrium, where you can see the permanent installation 'Elastika', created by the Iraqi architect Zaha Hadid. It is one of the best-known places in the district and its main work is a must-see.
